Oni mali „vojnu on the brain“, tí dederóni. Ja neviem, to akože celá antológia bude len *vojenské* poviedky a *komunistické*? 🙄 Ale táto [»Die Hirtenflöte« by Wolfgang Joho], celkom dobre sa táto rozbieha. A hneď tam nejakú 17-ročnú pretiahol rozprávač – nie rozprávač, hlavný hrdina, vojak. Niekde na hraniciach Maďarska so Srbskom. Ale na hraniciach, na predmestí Belehradu tam boli kedysi hranice, očividne. A to je zrejme druhá svetová vojna. Áno, lebo že letel lietadlom a tak ďalej. Takže to prvá nebude, predpokladám. Aj keď tá hranica, pokiaľ to bolo za Rakúsko-Uhorska, akože až pri Belehrade bola hranica k Uhorsku? To je zvláštne. No tak či onak… Jarmila je tá sedemnásťročná. To je práve to perfektné, že sedemnásťročnú tam preťahuje a nikto sa na tým nezamyslel. Nikomu to neprišlo čudné. Však to je prirodzené. Teraz politická korektnosť tu chce hovoriť, že dievča sa premení na ženu presne v tej minúte, ako prejdú narodeniny zo sedemnásteho na osemnásty rok – čo to je za pakovina?! To je úplne jasné, že 17-ročné už môžu byť totálne zrelé, aj tak v tej poviedke je to napísané, čiže toto je také osviežujúce uprostred toho dedorónstva. No a uvidíme (ešte stále som len na 114 stranách, 122. strane zo 490), či aspoň v druhej polovici tohto (to má byť prvý diel tejto antológie) sa už dostaneme k nejak *povojnovým* veciam, k `Alltag`, `Alltag`, `Alltag`! A nie furt len `Krieg`, `Krieg`. `Krieg`. Uvidíme, jak to pôjde ďalej. *** Alright; so here's the full list again, this time with publication years included – just like I'll be including them in `Nekotabuľki`. 🤓 I think that now, with publication years included, it makes even *more* sense for me to include the full list in both of my reviews (at avekritik.com and in Goodreads). I think I'll be providing some useful "public/librarian service" by doing so, if I may be so immodest in saying that. Even if readers may jeer at my *ratings*, the list below provides *more* than just the "table of contents" does in the book itself. You know, there may be quite a few people like myself: who simply have *no* access to _Band II_, 🤬 and therefore, no way to learn the publication year of each of the 36 stories... It's by pure luck that I've just stumbled on _Band II_ at archive.org! It's *not* easy to find, because it's not even properly tagged/described there. 😡 (I would bet that 99.9% of "ordinary readers" will *never* stumble on _Band II_ at archive.org. The Gotsche story actually appears to be from *1966*! 🤦 And thus, my "Stalinist theory" collapses... 🤣 And Heym (1976) isn't the most recent piece: that's Rücker (1983). I was amused to see that the story »Der alte Zanzibari« (1969), which I pretty much hated at 😒😒 (**E**), was actually from a *children's* book! 🙀 Again, a rather *odd* decision by the editors to include it in a representative anthology like this. (I *love* high-quality children's literature; Erich Kästner is one of my idols; but this particular story by Götz R. Richter simply did nothing for me. I remember exactly *zero* from it after a few years have passed, but apparently I was greatly displeased by it.) 😅 In fact, the very next story, »Ein Wellensittich starb«, by Benno Pludra, is *also* from a children's book. 🤷 That one didn't bother me that much, at 😑😑😑👍 (**D+**), although while reading them, I never detected or suspected that these two, by Pludra and Richter, were actually taken from *kids'* books. 😮 (I *think*, although I haven't verified it, that all the other 34 stories are from "adult" publications.) It makes perfect sense that the longer of the two quotations I highlighted in the book, by Fritz Hofmann (the story taking place in Prague), comes from a story written in **1977**. That's why I said earlier, in response to your analysis of the quote, that I did *not* necesarrily find the quote to have a *political* dimension at all; you could clearly feel, while reading the story, that it had a "relaxed vibe" – no "Stalinist intensity" left anymore. 😅 Now comparing the book's official data with the few entries you managed to unearth, where your research diverged from the book was that your research said Bredel was from 1959, where the book says it's 1960. Joho you said was 1947, while the book says it's from 1948. Fühmann you said was 1969, and the book gives 1970. Christa Wolf, as both of us found online, was allegedly originally written in 1965, but only got published in 1967 (the only year the book gives); I'm including both years for her entry. Overall, those are negligible differences between your research findings and the official data in the book. 😇 Thank you! I wonder if you could compute the average rating for *decades*? 🧮 From the 1940s to the 1980s? 🤔 (Whenever *two* years are given, please take the *first* as relevant = `Enststehungsjahr`.)
