> [!info] English # What are Quotes on the March? My goal is to walk at least 6 kilometers (around 4 miles) per day; optimally, 10.5 kilometers (6.5 miles) per day. I started doing this, with the help of the **[Runkeeper]()** app, back in December 2011. Here are my Runkeeper stats: **[march.avenarius.sk](http://march.avenarius.sk)** I enjoy *brisk, not leisurely* walks. That is why I jocularly call them “marches”, rather than “walks”. The optimal brisk pace would be 6 kilometers per hour. But I’m often too tired for that, and only manage 5 km/h, if that at all. Or, I’m *distracted*, because I enjoy listening to *podcasts* during my walks, and that *automatically* slows you down, even though you may not realize it. The same goes for [[What Is Grail Diary|dictating into my audio journal]] during my walks. To promote “public accountability” 😂 of my marching efforts, whenever I complete a walk/march with Runkeeper, I use its sharing screen to publish the **stats of my march** to the trio of asocial networks used by me ([Mastodon](http://ms.avenarius.sk) & [Facebook](http://fb.avenarius.sk) & [ex-Twitter](http://tw.avenarius.sk)). But that can definitely be annoying/narcissistic (whatever…) for anyone following me in those places, so to add some interesting content to those Runkeeper stats sharing screens – content that can potentially be useful for *everyone* – I also always include an **interesting/inspiring/motivating quotation**. A very *partial* overview of marching quotes already published thus far, with Facebook links, can be found at **[quotes.avenarius.sk](http://quotes.avenarius.sk)** (I plan to transfer the overview to this [[Welcome to My Public Crater|Ave Notes]] site later on.)
