_Last updated: 2026-11-01._ This notice covers the personal Google Calendar connection described on the [integration homepage](https://avenotes.in.net/obsetrubadur-calendar). I, vlčí Sarkofážňik, operate this installation for my own Google account and devices. ## Data accessed and purpose After I authorize access, the TaskNotes plugin in Obsidian can read calendar and event information, including calendar identifiers, event titles, descriptions, dates, times, recurrence and reminders. It uses this information to display my schedule and synchronize calendar events with my task notes. When task export is enabled, relevant task information is sent to my selected Google calendar. Depending on my settings, this includes titles, dates, times, recurrence, reminders, task metadata and links to Obsidian notes. Synchronization may create, update or delete corresponding events. ## Storage and services Task notes are stored in my Obsidian vault and synchronized between my devices through Obsidian Sync. Calendar records are stored by Google. The plugin communicates with Google's calendar service for this connection. TaskNotes stores OAuth credentials and access/refresh tokens in Obsidian Secret Storage, locally to the installation and vault; encryption at rest depends on operating-system support. These credentials are not included in these public pages. Google and Obsidian handle information involved in their services under their own policies. I may separately choose notes for publication or processing with other tools. Authorizing this calendar connection does not itself publish my calendar; publishing selected task information is a separate action. ## Use and sharing I use this connection for personal scheduling and reminders. I do not sell Google Calendar data or use it for advertising. The connection does not provide third parties with access to my Google account. My use of information received through Google APIs follows the [Google API Services User Data Policy](https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including its Limited Use requirements. ## Retention, removal and access controls Notes and calendar events remain until I delete them or configured synchronization removes them. Copies may also remain in my device storage, synchronization history or backups until those copies are removed under the relevant service's retention settings. I can disconnect the calendar in TaskNotes or revoke the connection through my [Google Account permissions](https://myaccount.google.com/permissions). Removing access stops further authorized access through that connection; it does not automatically erase existing task notes, calendar events or backups. For questions about this installation, use the support email displayed on its Google authorization screen.
